Where to Find Fantastic Crochet Triangle Patterns
To some people, there’s meaningful symbolism inherent in a triangle. To others, a triangle is simply an ordinary shape, perhaps not bringing any particular meaning to mind.
Triangles are intriguing projects to crochet, and it’s fascinating to explore all the different ways you can stack them and make them repeat — not to mention all the different designs, projects and color patterns you can create with them.
Are you interested in finding some crochet triangle patterns to work on? If so, there are two really fantastic references I can recommend.
Triangle Treasury Book
The first is a book called Triangle Treasury, The entire focus of this book is crochet triangle patterns; there are 25 different triangle motifs you can crochet, plus there are also patterns for 4 different finished projects you can make using those triangles. The book’s author is Darla Sims, and Leisure Arts is the publisher.
Pictured above is a crochet triangle with scalloped edge; the pattern for crocheting that triangle is included in Triangle Treasury.

Crochet Kaleidoscope by Sandra Eng, Published by Interweave
Crochet Kaleidoscope is a crochet pattern book with a focus on crochet motif patterns including triangle motifs and other types of motifs. All together, I counted 9 different triangle patterns in the book.
Awhile back, I crocheted one of the triangle patterns from this book and then added some stitches to the design to mimic the look of an evergreen tree. Then I did some additional stitching and sewing to make the project into a hanging Christmas tree ornament. Here’s a picture showing you how it turned out:
I absolutely love the triangle crochet motif that is the basis for this design. Isn’t it lovely?
While there are only 9 triangle motifs presented in this book, I think all of them are appealing and beautiful ones — and in this book, you also get a bunch of helpful color theory information, plus bunches of other crochet motif patterns (hexagons, squares, flowers and more). Overall, Crochet Kaleidoscope is one of the most useful crochet pattern books I own.
