  • Texture Impression Molds:
  • Silicon Molds

Both types of molds are flexible, which makes it easy to get your molded object out of the mold.

Both types of molds are washable, so you can keep them clean.

Many of Stamperia’s molds complement their matching themed paper collections. This empowers you to easily create harmonious art projects that incorporate a variety of surfaces and textures.

How to Use Stamperia Molds

There are multiple ways you can use Stamperia molds:

  • You can mold with resin; if you mix, set and use your resin correctly, this will typically result in flawless molded shapes.

  • You can press soft clay into the mold’s cavities. It requires practice and skill to get flawless results with this method, because it is easy to make mistakes. But if you do it well, the end results are impressive. This is the method I have the most personal experience with.

  • You can also use ceramic powder along with molds to create molded shapes.

My Favorite Stamperia Molds

  • Sunflower Art A6 silicon Frames mold by Sara Alcobendas
  • Cosmos Infinity molds by Cristina Radovan (I have 3 different molds from this collection: The Compass mold and a couple of others)
  • Plates A4 Soft Mould from the Vintage Library collection by Cristina Radovan — I bought this for the interesting corner molds, which I think will make lovely accents for art journal covers.
  • Plates A5 Soft Mould from the Blue Land collection

I couldn’t choose a favorite from amongst these; they are all wonderful!

My Experiences With Using Stamperia Molds

So far, I’ve tried using 2 different clays with my Stamperia molds.

The first type of clay I tried was Stamperia’s Extra Light, Soft White Clay (pictured above). This was lovely to work with and really easy to use. I’d recommend it.

The other type I tried was too crumbly; everything I made with it broke. So that isn’t a type of clay I’d recommend for this type of project. But, obviously, the molds weren’t at fault for that outcome — the molds themselves are wonderful, detailed and highly useful.

The Verdict: I Highly Recommend Stamperia’s Molds!

I think both the silicon molds and the harder plastic (but still flexible) molds are fantastic. I use them. I love them! If you have a need for unique and interesting molds that harmonize well with various paper collections, I think you will really enjoy using them, too.
