Crochet Christmas Wreath Ornaments
These wreaths make cute Christmas tree ornaments or door hangers you can use for decorating during the holiday season. You can use yarn, wire or other materials for crocheting these wreaths, and your results will look different depending on your choices.
Unique DIY Christmas Tree Ornament
You could make this ornament dozens of times, and each time it could look different — because you could vary the “decorations” you use for embellishing the little Christmas tree. You could use themed buttons in interesting shapes, or plain round buttons like I used in my project sample. Additionally, you could stitch tiny bows, or little pompoms onto your tree. Those aren’t the only possibilities; beads, sequins or embroidery could also be used as decorations.
With so many options available, this really is a fantastic opportunity for a completely unique, totally personalized project.
If you want to make the ornament as pictured, I invite you to check out both of the pages linked below:
- This page has the symbol crochet chart and instructions for crocheting the flat Christmas tree shape;
- And, this page has the instructions for finishing the project and making it into an ornament.
Beaded Snowflake Christmas Ornament
You can crochet this beaded snowflake to use as a Christmas tree ornament, if you like. Of course, there are many different ways to incorporate this cute design into your holiday decorations — no need to limit yourself to thinking of this as just being an ornament, if you’d rather use it as part of your giftwrap for a special package, or for a door hanger (if so, thread it onto some pretty ribbon and tie the ribbon in a bow.) You could also use it to decorate the cover of a three-dimensional scrabook, art journal or altered book project.
Sure hope you enjoyed this roundup of free patterns and tutorials for unique Christmas ornaments to make at home. Happy crafting!
