This is my pick for the best crochet sweater pattern book for ladies. It’s not a brand new publication, but it’s one that has stood, and will continue to stand, the test of time as far as high-quality design work and classic styling are concerned.

My other favorite sweater pattern books also include other types of crochet patterns in them — so please be sure to scroll down to the section of this page that features those collections.

Crochet Baby Sweater Patterns

Dressing Up Baby

Dressing Up Baby Crochet Book by Darla Sims, Published by Leisure Arts

This book includes my all-time favorite baby sweater pattern. I made one of these for my little niece, and she wore it on an almost daily basis for all the cold days in fall, winter and spring until she finally outgrew it. The other patterns in the book are also lovely; it’s a book of baby layette sets, each of which includes a baby blanket, sweater, hat and booties. This book includes both boy and girl friendly layettes, but the patterns are better suited for baby girls than they are for baby boys.

Best Crochet Sweater Pattern Books for Men ?

There aren’t all that many pattern books featuring men’s crocheted sweaters. The only book I have in my personal library that includes an attractive and wearable man’s sweater is Crochetterie by Molla Mills. In general, if you want to crochet projects for guys, that book is a really great buy — it includes a wide range of fantastic guy-friendly and unisex patterns.

Most of the patterns in this book aren’t actually sweater patterns; there are just as many shawl and wrap patterns as there are sweater and cardigan patterns. But, I’m including this book on our list of the best crochet sweater pattern books because the sweaters that are included are absolutely spectacular ones! Take, for example, the design on the front cover. Isn’t it exquisite? That’s my favorite garment from this book. I think the projects in this book are mostly appealing ones, overall.
