Craft Supplies You’ll Need for Crocheting This Flower Motif
Yarn:
You’ll need four different colors of yarn in small amounts:
- Color A – Camel is color A in the sample flower.
- Color B – Baby green is color B in the sample flower.
- Color C – Yellow is color C in the sample flower.
- Color D – Blue is color D in the sample flower.
I crocheted my sample flower in worsted weight yarn, but you can try this pattern using any yarn weight you like. It would be lovely to work this flower with crochet thread if you happen to need an extra small flower for a project you’re working on. The worsted weight version is about right for decorating adult-sized hats, headbands and similar projects.
Crochet Hook:
Choose an appropriate hook for the yarn or thread you want to use. If in doubt, check the yarn label for recommendations.
I used a size H / 5.0 mm hook to make the sample flower.
Other: Tapestry Needle
for weaving in ends
Gauge:
Gauge will vary depending on hook and yarn / thread used.
Finished Size:
Finished size will vary depending on the materials you use. My sample flower measures approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter.
