Need to make a birthday card for a dog-loving friend or loved one? If so, consider this fun, playful project idea: Learn how to make a birthday card with a dachshund dog motif using ink blending techniques plus a stamp by Hero Arts / The Stamping Village.
I was motivated to create this birthday card because the folks over at Hero Arts are were having an “anything goes” challenge. I grabbed the “Happy Birthday” stamp set by Stamping Village, which includes a cute dachshund dog stamp and a bunch of other fun birthday-themed stamps, to use for this challenge.
How I Made This Birthday Card:
I practiced ink blending techniques on a bit of scrap cardstock.
Then I stamped the dachshund dog image onto the ink blended background, and colored bits of it.
Then I used an oval-shaped stencil to cut out the stamped, ink blended design.
About the Card Making Supplies I Used:
Stamping Village is a group of competing stamp manufacturers. They’ve come together and collaborated to make some of my all-time favorite stamp sets. I have 2 of the sets they made, and I’m hoping to get the others too, eventually. If you want to check ’em out, they are available for sale in bunches of places including scrapbook.com and other merchants.
I really enjoyed this challenge! My heartfelt thanks to the team at Hero Arts for sponsoring it. I always appreciate having a little additional motivation to get paper crafts projects made.
