How to Make the paper lace band:
Squirt walnut inks (Tsukineko) onto white cardstock. Let dry. Cut a 1” band from this paper using “Seagull” Paper Edgers (Fiskars.) Rub the band with orange dye ink (Rubber Stampede.) Punch the lace pattern using 5/16” teardrop, 1/16” circle, and 3/16” square hand punches (Fiskars).
How to Make the Card:
- Cut your card base to size.
- Score and fold it using a scoring tool for paper. Set it aside.
- Roll out a thin slab of Delight Modeling Compound
- Stamp large and small “Bella Flora” flowers in the clay. (Inque Boutique.)
- Cut around the edges of the stamped flowers.
- Poke holes for the brad in the centers of bloth clay flowers.
- Set aside and allow to dry.
- When the pieces are dry (overnight or longer) paint the larger one with Metallic Bronze Lumiere paint (Jacquard) and the smaller one with Halo Pink Gold. Let dry.
- Cut a 7” x 5” piece of Blizzard Blue patterned cardstock paper (Reminisce) and attach to blank card base.
- Cut a 6.5” x 4.5” piece of patterned paper (NRN Designs). Ink the edges with Burnt Sienna ColorBox Fluid Chalk (Clearsnap). Attach to top of card.
- Adhere paper lace band to front of card.
- Stamp round “Great Shapes Mini” journaling stamp (Inque Boutique) onto patterned paper (Daisy D’s) with Burnt Sienna Fluid Chalk.
- Cut around the journaling stamp with mini scallop paper edgers (Fiskars). Attach to front of card.
- Rub the smaller painted clay flower with Fired Brick Distress ink (Ranger.) Let dry.
- Pin the 2 flowers together using a mini brad to form the center. Attach to front of card.
- Stamp “happy birthday!” with Sharie Lower Alpha stamps (Inque Boutique) in dye ink (Rubber stampede) on front of card.
