Scrapbook.com is one of America’s most popular online craft stores. They specialize in making high-quality scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies available to the public. They stock products from many of the most popular paper craft brands’ collections, and they also manufacture their own paper crafting products. Their offerings include adhesives, stamps, dies, inks, stickers, cardstock pads in various sizes, and many others.

Scrapbook.com’s refillable adhesive roller is a popular product because they occasionally give it away as a freebie, and people end up loving the adhesive and ordering the refills for it.

This paper-friendly adhesive is so easy to use that even a small child can enjoy success with it.

If you have little ones who haven’t yet figured out how to detach Scotch tape from the roll, they might be able to successfully use this product with supervision. The runner is small and easy for a child to manipulate. So if you have little kiddos who want to paper craft, this tape runner is a good buy for them.

It’s not really meant to be a kid’s adhesive, though; grownup crafters are its intended market.

This clear tape rolls onto projects flat and is ideal to use in places where you don’t want to add extra dimension. If you’re a space-challenged crafter, this tape is ideal, because the runner itself doesn’t take up a lot of room, and the tape doesn’t make your pages substantially thicker or bulkier when you use it.

The aqua-colored tape runner is pretty and trendy right now. If you have other aqua-colored craft supplies, this runner will look really cute organized with the others in your crafting space.

The adhesive is acid-free and photo-safe.

The roller is ergonomic and is comfortable to hold.

Downsides to the Scrapbook.com Refillable Adhesive Roller

Many of Scrapbook.com’s products are made in the USA, but this tape runner is apparently not one of them.

The Verdict: I Recommend Scrapbook.com’s Refillable Adhesive Roller, But It Isn’t My Top Favorite Adhesive

I use Scrapbook.com’s adhesive roller, primarily because Scrapbook.com is generous with giving away freebies to their customers, and they have given me several of these rollers with various past purchases I’ve made from their store. I don’t know about you, but I’m not one to turn down a good freebie.

If you spend any time at all looking around at various scrapbooking pages, albums and other paper crafts projects on this website, you’ll see lots of instances where I used this adhesive in my projects and included it in the project photos. And I have generally been very happy with the product, overall.

But I have favorite adhesives other than this one. When I need to re-order adhesive for myself, I typically order my favorites rather than this one.

My favorites are Cherry Tape and Zip Dry Paper Glue, both of which are made in the USA.

However, I do occasionally order refills for this tape runner, too, because this is my little 9-year-old niece’s favorite adhesive. She LOVES to make cards and play along with the Lawn Fawnatics challenge and occasionally with other challenges. When we spend time together, we go through bunches of this adhesive.

If I had to pick a list of top favorite kid-friendly paper adhesives, of course, Elmer’s Glue and glue sticks would be contenders, but this one would deserve a place on the list as well.

Personally, I like this better than Elmer’s Glue because we make a lot less of a mess with this tape. Elmer’s Glue just gets everywhere.

I like it better than glue sticks because a lot of times, the glue from glue sticks tends to lose its stick in time, whereas the projects made with this tape runner hold together in the long term.

So which one you want comes down to factors like price and how long you want your kiddos’ projects to hang around.

If your kids are making quick projects out of construction paper, and you’re going to toss them in the trash as soon as they lose interest in them, then this adhesive probably isn’t worth splurging on.

But if your kiddo is making scrapbook pages, and you want them to last until the kid is a grownup and beyond, in that case, this adhesive is a good buy.

And if your kiddo is making greeting cards to send to family and friends, that’s another case when you’d want to consider making the investment in this adhesive. It would be embarrassing if the greeting card were to fall apart in the recipient’s hands — and there is no telling how long the recipient will keep the card for. If you send it to Grandma, for example, you’ll probably find that it’ll remain in her possession for decades. So you can’t have it falling apart on her.

So, in cases like those, I think this adhesive is really a good buy. It’s worth the money, overall.
