What is a scrapbook mini album?

A scrapbook mini album is simply a small-sized scrapbook album. There are different standard sizes for scrapbooking albums; a couple of the most popular sizes are 8.5″x11″ and 12″ x 12″. Neither of these sizes would be considered a mini album. A mini album is typically smaller than either of these standard sizes, which are both relatively large.

So far, the smallest mini albums I’ve ever seen measured about 3″ tall; they’re the minis by Clear Scraps. Here you can see a few of them:

More typical, popular mini album sizes include 4″x6″, 6″x6″, 6″x8″, and 8″x8″. It’s also possible to have mini albums in a variety of irregular shapes and sizes.

How do you make a scrapbook mini album?

• Grab a specific mini album to work with. Each mini album is a little different, so you’d use different techniques for putting together each one.
• Print out photos to use in your album. Obviously, you’ll need to be conscious of your album size; you wouldn’t want to print out 8″x11″ photos to use in a 6″x6″ mini album.
• Use adhesive to attach your photos to the mini album pages, along with journaling, embellishments and anything else you want to add.

My favorite thing about this cute mini album: It is ridiculously affordable to make these. I made mine using some recent photos, two pages of patterned paper and some stickers and paper scraps that were left over from other projects.
