I’m a huge fan of Sixth & Spring books — in particular, of Sixth & Spring knitting books. I’ve reviewed many of this publisher’s books, and I highly recommend all of them. I invite you to check out the Sixth & Spring knitting books I’ve reviewed, which are listed below:
1. Seed Stitch: Beyond Knit 1, Purl 2
Do you think of the seed stitch as being one of knitting’s most boring stitches? If you’re a longtime knitter, you probably learned this stitch when you were a beginner, and perhaps you used it to knit beginner’s projects when you were new to the craft. If that’s your mindset, you might just be astonished when you see all the creative, innovative things you can actually do with the humble seed stitch. Let Seed Stitch: Beyond Knit 1, Purl 1 be your guide to finding bunches of different colorwork and texture stitch patterns you can knit, simply by varying the seed stitch in interesting ways. This book is part stitch dictionary and part pattern book; included in the book are some amazing projects you can make with the seed stitch knitting variations you’ll learn.

2. Dimensional Tuck Knitting
Can you wrap your head around what might happen if you could pin-tuck a piece of knitting in much the same way that you’re able to create pintucks and pleats on fabric? Just try to imagine it for a moment. This isn’t just a wild fantasy, because you can actually do that!
Get ready to have your mind blown when you see how this works!
If you’re looking for a truly innovative, creative, ground-breaking knitting book, this is it; you’ve found one.
If you enjoy working on richly-textured knitting projects, you are going to LOVE this. The texture can sometimes resemble cables in a way, but it also looks like its own unique thing.
Dimensional Tuck Knitting is a knitting technique book, project book and stitch dictionary, all combined into one volume. The projects are all chic, sophisticated, and appealing. The short version of my book review of this title: Buy the book. It is more than worth its asking price.

4. 60 Quick Knits for Little Kids
If you have a frequent need for baby shower gifts, or someone in your family is expecting a new arrival, this is a knitting pattern book I’d highly recommend to you. The book includes knitting patterns for creating just about any of the knittable items a toddler might need, with the exception of socks and footwear. You’ll find an outstanding selection of patterns for knitting young children’s clothing including hats, scarves, sweaters, dresses, mittens, ponchos and more. There are appealing designs for both boys and girls, some of which are unisex and some of which are not.
In a world where baby knitting patterns are broadly available but adorable, usable toddler and children’s clothing patterns are slightly more challenging to come by, this book stands out as being a really fantastic find.
