Do you make lots of paper craft projects using tags? Or do you store paper in two-ring or three-ring binders? In either case, you probably need reinforcements from time to time. If you’d be interested in making your own reinforcements to use on your tags or your torn papers, I recommend taking a look at the Tag Reinforcer Hole Die by Waffle Flower Crafts.

There are bunches of reasons I recommend this die:

  • It is really useful! I use mine more for making paper reinforcements than I do for making tag reinforcements — but either way, it is really useful.
  • The reinforcements you can make with this set are fun, colorful, and super cute! They are much more interesting than the plain white ones you’d buy at the office supply store. You will be so excited to see how adorable and colorful they are, and better yet, how eye-catching your papers and tags will look when you use them!
  • The die is seriously affordable; with a suggested retail price of only $3, assuming you already have a die cutter, it is far more affordable to buy this die than it is to repeatedly buy package after package of sticky paper reinforcements. This die set allows you to use up your paper scraps and transform them into all the reinforcements you need.

  • This die is small enough that you can use it to transform even small and otherwise useless paper scraps into reinforcements.

  • The set is easy to use.

  • This die is high quality and made in the USA! It cuts beautifully and cleanly.

Conclusion: I highly recommend this die to other crafters. A++++++!!!!

I think this die is fantastic! If you enjoy embellishing your tags with reinforcements, or if you want an eye-catching way to fix your torn papers, you are likely to get your money’s worth from this die. I especially recommend this die to you if you have kids in school or you are a university student, because in those situations, I think this die is a really good buy.

Important Note #1: When I use the reinforcements from this die to mend torn papers, I use two of these reinforcements for each hole I am mending. I put a few dabs of liquid glue on the back of each and then place them, back to back, over the hole I am trying to mend. I sometimes use a round hole punch afterward (after the glue is dry) to enlarge the hole if it ends up being slightly smaller than the hole on the original papers I am mending.

Important Note #2: Some other users of this die have complained that it is tedious to use. I disagree. However, it is obvious to me that the complainers are using this die all by itself to run through their gigantic die cutters. To me, this just seems silly. Of course it will be tedious if you do it that way — so don’t do it that way.

Instead, take this die and a scrap of paper, and run it through at the same time you die cut other stuff. I send this die through my die cutter pretty much every time I use it to cut something else, and then I file the reinforcement in an envelope so I always have plenty of reinforcements to use when I need them. This is not at all tedious, and it is not difficult to do. It is easy! And it is really thrifty, too.

Furthermore, at the time of this posting, this die costs $3. It is totally affordable. It is totally worth $3. If you need more than one of these, the simple answer is BUY MORE THAN ONE OF THESE DIES. It will cost you $9 plus shipping and tax to buy 3 of these dies. If you feel that you need 3 of them to make it worth your time to use the dies, then buy 3 of them! This will allow you to cut 3 dies with one pass of the die cutter — again, not tedious, not difficult, very easy and totally thrifty. At least, that is my opinion. Personally, I have saved wayyyyyy more than $3 by using this die instead of paying for sticky white (boring!) reinforcements at the office supply store.
