Need some ideas for a creative way to tell someone special “I miss you”? Check out this card making idea:

Supplies You’ll Need for Making a Similar Greeting Card:
- One Page From the Clear Scraps Tree Mini Album
- To achieve exactly the effect shown, you’ll need to emboss the acrylic tree shape using an embossing machine and embossing folder. I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, which has now been discontinued, but there are many similar products that would work for doing this.
- Paint Pens: I used paint pens that are now discontinued, but there are many similar paint pens that would work for this project.
- Alphabet Letter Stamps: The alphabet letter stamps I used for this project Chic Alpha by Fancy Pants, Sharie’s Lower Alpha Mini Stamp Set by Inque Boutique, Ret are all discontinued, but there are many letter stamps that would work for this. If you already have letter stamps, use the ones you have. If you don’t, I recommend checking out the selection of letter stamps available at Scrapbook.com.
- Patterned Papers: The patterned papers I used in this project are by Cosmo Cricket and BasicGrey, and they are no longer available. You can use whatever similar papers you happen to have in your stash.
- Magic Mesh — I created the hillside under the tree using Magic Mesh, which is no longer available — but you don’t need it. You could substitute patterned paper or plain cardstock.
- Decorative Scissors: Fiskars Mini Scallop Paper Edgers
- Tim Holtz Distress Inks by Ranger Industries
- Ink Pads for Stamping: There are many brands of stamping ink that could create this type of effect. I used StaZon Ink on the clear acrylic shape and a variety of other ink pads to ink and stamp on the papers in this card design. If you have similar ink in your craft supplies stash, feel free to use what you already have on hand.
- Metallic Gel Pens
- Strathmore Bristol Board
- Circle Template
- Zip Dry Paper Glue
