Slimline Card With Scalloped Heart Motif and Ink Blended Vertical Stripes

The lovely folks over at Pinkfresh Studio are having a new challenge with the theme of stripes and gradients. This is the third project I’m submitting for the challenge — Plus I made a bunch of extra ink-blended papers that have ink blending, stripes and gradients. There will be more striped cards in my future!

Here you can see some of ink blending and striping I did for this challenge, along with the Vertical Stripes Stencil by Pinkfresh Studio. Love this stencil! I used it to make the bottom three ink-blended papers you see pictured below:

I actually chose this stencil, not because I wanted to ink blend with it, but because I thought it would be a good item to have on hand for making journaling spots. I do use it pretty frequently for that purpose. I think it is now one of my new favorite stencils for ink blending, too. LOVE it!

The lovely folks over at Pinkfresh Studio are having a new challenge with the theme of stripes and gradients. This is my second project entry for the challenge. It’s a brand new scrapbooking layout featuring a photo of me at Two Harbors Campground on Catalina Island.

Just offshore from the campground in this photo is Little Fisherman’s Cove, which is one of my favorite anchorages on planet earth — love, love, LOVE it there. This pic brings back such happy memories of fun times, long hikes with my husband and sailing adventures. While the honest truth is, I am actually glad to have settled back into the boring life of a landlubber, scrapping these pics sort of gives me wanderlust all over again.

This layout does actually have stripes, but they got a little buried under various other layers. I made the stripes using Pinkfresh Studio’s Horizontal Stripes stencil.

Love You Slimline Card With Butterfly, Heart and Ink Blended Stripes

The lovely folks over at Pinkfresh Studio are having a new challenge with the theme of stripes and gradients. I thought that sounded like fun, so I decided to play along. I created multiple projects and love all of them! Plus I made extra ink-blended papers featuring stripes and gradients, so I will be able to use the rest of them in upcoming projects. I am looking forward to it!

In the picture above, you can see one of the cards I made for this challenge.

And here in the picture below, you can see some of the papers I made to use in this challenge.

I used 3 colors of Pinkfresh Studio’s dye ink to make these papers:

In the finished papers, the colors look lighter than they appear when used at full strength, because I diluted them with water. I was aiming for a light, watercolor-y effect. Even with the dilution, they turned out a bit darker than I was hoping, but the colors are so vibrant and pretty that I ended up loving them.

Daily Planner Layout With a Laundry Theme; Supplies by Lawn Fawn and the Happy Planner

The lovely people over at the Lawnfawnatics blog are hosting a fun rainbow themed challenge! Pictured above, you can see my entry for the challenge; it’s a daily planner layout featuring a cute little bear doing her laundry. I dated it 9-20-2022 and plan to use it in a couple of days.

(Or feel free to make substitutions if you like!)

Important Note: There are dies available for most of these stamps.

I love how colorful this is! The rainbow is one of my favorite design motifs, so I LOVED this challenge! Although unfortunately, I took the photo outdoors at sunset, so the colors in my pic don’t look accurate — it is much prettier in person.

My heartfelt thanks to the folks at Lawnfawnatics for hosting this fun challenge, which I really enjoyed!

Over to You:

Did you play along with the Lawnfawnatics challenge this time around? IF so, how did your project turn out?
