Meet Hazel the Hedgehog. Isn’t she adorable? She’s a popular quilting pattern you can use for making pillows (as pictured), blankets or other projects. The designer of this pattern is Elizabeth Hartman. A talented quilter named Caroline Press, Also Known as TrilliumDesign, stitched the super cute project examples you see pictured above.

If you’re looking for a new quilting project to get started on, Hazel the Hedgehog seems like a fantastic candidate assuming you are hoping to make a cute project to use for decorating a child’s bedroom, a baby’s nursery, a cozy family room or just about any other room in your home. This design would make a cute birthday gift for a child you love, or a wonderful baby shower gift for expectant parents.

Important Notes: There are multiple variations of the Hazel the Hedgehog design that are available for sale. I haven’t personally stitched this pattern, but my understanding is that the original version of the design is the one you want for making this scale of pillow as pictured above. However, I am linking to multiple versions of the design in case they would be of interest to you; you might want to make coordinating Hazel the Hedgehog quilts / blankets, pillows and other projects. PLEASE, please, please be sure to read each item description carefully and note the dimensions before making a purchase. If you have any questions, I recommend emailing the seller (called “convo” on Etsy if you’re dealing with an Etsy seller) to clarify.
