Crochet Headband in Tunisian Knit Stitch
While Tunisian crochet is definitely a crochet technique, it has a lot in common with knitting — and it seems to me like a hybrid between the two types of needlework. It can sometimes mimic the look of knitting as well, which you can see by looking at this headband. If you’re holding the headband in your hands, inspecting it carefully, you can tell that it isn’t knitted — because it feels different than a knitted project would. But if you’re looking at someone wearing one of these headbands, you could easily mistake it for knitted.
If you enjoy using variegated yarns, this is a fantastic pattern for getting the most out of them. So far this pattern has worked well with the variegated color combinations I’ve tried, and I plan to do some more experimenting with variegated yarns and this pattern in the future.
So far, I’ve tried the pattern with two different variegated yarn colors. You can see the results of this pictured at far right. I’ve also tried crocheting this pattern with one solid yarn, and one variegated yarn; the results of that experiment are pictured at hear right.
Easy Crochet Accessories Set Including Headband, Scarf, Hat and Fingerless Gloves
I apologize! This pattern is temporarily unavailable online; I am in the process of updating it and will make it available again as soon as possible.
If you’re looking for a headband that’s incorporated into a matching set, and not just a standalone accessory, consider this pretty (and easy!) headband pattern. You can make it to match some other items, so you’ll be able to keep warm and look coordinated at the same time.
This pattern is seriously easy, consisting of only chain stitches and single crochet. If you’ve mastered those two stitches, you know as much as you need to know to enjoy success with this project.
Men’s Fall/Winter Headband Pattern
This headband is…
- An easy crochet project
- Intended just for guys (but if any ladies want to wear one of these, that’s fine too.)
- Great for keeping ears warm in the fall and winter, or even the springtime when there are chilly days.
- Perfect for guys with “big hair,” including those who don’t want to stuff it all under a hat.
- Ideal for wearing under hoodies, with the hood up. Or not; it looks good either way. It’s nice to have both options, since so many hats look ridiculous when worn underneath of a hoodie. This way guys can wear their hoodies but keep their ears extra warm too.
- A lovely gift.
So there you have it — a great group of DIY headband patterns. Hope you enjoyed this list, and that you found some worthwhile patterns to add to your stash.
