Types of Paper Craft Projects You Can Make Using the Hooked on You Stamp Set by Gina K Designs
In my opinion, Gina K Designs’ Hooked on You stamp set works especially well for card making and memory planning. Below, you can see a photo of this stamp set and some of the other craft supplies I want to use together to make pages for my memory planner.

However, you could use the Hooked on You Stamp Set for working on any type of paper craft projects, including the following:
- Calendar crafts, planners, and bullet journals;
- Scrapbooks, travel journals, art journals and junk journals;
- Handmade cards and gifts;
- Collages, wall art and mixed media art projects;
- And more!
Why I Bought Gina K’s “Hooked on You” Clear Stamp Set
I’ve been paper crafting for a long time, and I’ve accumulated a bunch of different stamp sets. At this point, I have a broad variety of different images. Most of my stamping needs are well covered, so at this point in my crafting journey, I am highly selective about the stamps I add to my collection.
This set was a must-have for me because I’m a hardcore crocheter, and it’s rare to find stamp sets that feature crochet. I like stamping crochet-related images in my planners and journals, and this stamp set is exactly what I needed.
I paid full price for this stamp set, without waiting for it to go on sale – because I didn’t want to risk having it go out of stock before I could grab it.
I haven’t been disappointed with the purchase. These stamps totally lived up to my expectations. When I use high-quality inks to do my stamping, I’ve found that the resulting images have consistently been crisp and clear.
Craft Project Ideas for Using the Hooked on You by Gina K Designs :
There are many ways you can use Gina K Designs’ Hooked on You stamp set in your paper craft projects and other projects. These stamps are truly versatile. I invite you to check out some project ideas for using these stamps:
Sentiments Included in Gina K’s “Hooked on You” Stamp Set:
This set of 4 stamps includes 2 sentiments, as follows:
- “HOOKED on you!”
- “Close-knit friends are hard to find!”
These sentiments are beautifully presented. The fonts on them are really clear and easily legible, and I LOVE how each sentiment has one word that’s shown much bigger than the others.
I think the sentiments in this set will be hit or miss for different crafters. They’re likely to be really useful to some people but irrelevant to others.
To be completely honest, I didn’t buy this set for its sentiments. I’m not likely to use either of them very often, because these seem like sentiments you would stamp on cards, and I’m not likely to make cards where these sentiments would be suitable. These sentiments are not really going to be that useful for stamping in my memory planner most of the time — and I’m okay with that.
However, it’s worth noting how these sentiments are really different from a lot of the others you see around. So if you’re looking for unique sentiments, these might be of interest to you, depending on your interests, your goals and the interests and goals of the people in your inner circle.
Personally, I’m a lonely knitter and crocheter. I knit and crochet, but I don’t know many people who also share these hobbies. So I don’t really have any “close knit” yarn-y friends who’d enjoy cards made with sentiments like these. But your mileage may vary.
I would’ve paid for the two yarn images even if this set didn’t include any sentiments; I love them that much.
Coloring With Gina K’s Hooked on You Stamp Set
I usually try to avoid stamping with images that need to be colored in. Although I really enjoy coloring, it is a time-consuming pastime, and I prioritize other activities over coloring. So, usually, I prefer to stick with using silhouette images that can just be stamped without a need for coloring.
In this case, I had to make an exception to my usual “no coloring” guideline because these images are so unique, lovely and usable.
Although it would be possible to stamp them and leave them uncolored, I think they really look best when colored in.
So I’ve been experimenting with different ways to color in the yarn balls and needlework tools featured on these images.
So far, the images I like best have a lot of contrast between the ink color I used for stamping and the marker I used for coloring in the image. My favorite so far is a yarn ball and hook stamped with aged mahogany and colored in with a vibrant peach-colored Copic Marker (Color R32 from Copic’s Bright Colors Boxed Set). I’m hoping to share pictures soon!
Downsides to the Hooked on You Stamp Set by Gina K Designs
I don’t actually think there are any cons to this stamp set; for me, the set has been all positive so far. But, a single stamp set cannot be all things to all people — and this one certainly is not.
If you’re looking for a stamp set that features numerous stamps, this set isn’t going to be what you want; it includes only 4 stamps.
And if you’re looking for a stamp set that includes very large yarn ball images, this stamp set might disappoint you; the largest image in the set measures about 2 5/8 inches wide by about 2 1/2 inches high.
The Verdict: I Highly Recommend the Hooked on You to Other Crafters!
Overall, I have found all the stamps in this set to be really helpful for a variety of uses, particularly for Card Making and Memory Planning . I highly recommend this set to other crafters who want to .
