Home Candle Making: Ideas & Instructions for 12 Delightful Candles to Make

Home Candle Making Book From the Make & Give Series Published by Leisure Arts

Home Candle Making Book by Stephanie Rose, From the Make & Give Series Published by Leisure Arts

Candles are simultaneously romantic and practical. Their aromatic fragrances soothe the senses when you burn them.

Serving dinner is most likely an everyday event at your place — but when you add a candle to the mix, all of a sudden dinner becomes a special occasion, even if your calendar hasn’t announced the arrival of a birthday or holiday.

On drafty, chilly winter days, if it’s a bit too cold in your home, a candle can make a surprising difference in how comfortable your room feels. And if you live in an area that’s prone to blizzards, hurricanes, earthquakes or any other sort of natural disaster that could knock the power out at a moment’s notice, you no doubt have an appreciation for the convenience that candles can offer you during those most inconvenient weather events. A candle’s cheerful glow is reassuring, even in the most stressful of power outages.

Surely, you’re convinced you need candles in your life. And even if you already own a candle or two, you’re likely convinced, as I am, that you can’t have too many of them.

Would you enjoy learning how to make your own candles at home? Do you want to learn how to create and customize candles that are totally unique — ones you can’t find at the local Walmart for less than $10?

Would you be interested in having clear instructions and guidance on the mechanics of how to make a candle? Would you also be interested in getting your hands on ideas for how to create handcrafted candles that are as much “art object” as they are “craft project”? And do you want to find ideas for making your candles so beautifully gift worthy that your inner circle will be positively delighted when you present some of your candle creations to them as gifts?

If so, there is a creative, stylish yet simple craft book you need to know about. It’s called Home Candle Making: Easy Ideas for Making & Gifting Artisian-Inspired Candles by Stephanie Rose. This book is absolutely charming!

The Best Things About This Book

There are a lot of candle making books available. Are you wondering what differentiates this one from all the others? Well, my opinion is that you’d want to buy this one in large part because of the creativity of these projects.

I’ve never seen anyone make pumpkins or seashells into candle containers before — and I totally LOVE these ideas. But even better than just giving you such creative ideas, Stephanie has given you complete instructions for how to actually implement the ideas and make the candles for yourself. I’m betting your friends and family will be totally impressed when they see the super creative projects you’re able to make using the instructions in this book.

If you looked at any of the pictures I posted above, you’ve no doubt noticed that these candles are absolutely GORGEOUS! They’re chic and stylish, yet simple enough to integrate well into just about anyone’s home decor. I think these project ideas are the most compelling reason you’d want to consider buying this book.

In addition to the photos of the finished projects, you also get 5-6 step-by-step instruction photos showing you the details of how to make each project.

This book is an excellent value for its asking price. At its cover price, it’s a lower up-front investment than some of the other competing candle-making books that are available on the market.

This book is a quick and easy read. At only 64 pages long, and with clear and concise writing, you’re likely to be able to actually be able to read this book, absorb its contents and get started making candles without getting bogged down in tedious details.

I haven’t yet attempted to make any of the candles presented in this book, but the instructions and photos are so clear and helpful that I’d feel confident to try it.

Conclusion

I’m delighted to recommend this book to other craft enthusiasts. It’s a beautiful book. I learned a whole bunch of new things from reading it, and I think other crafters are likely to find it worth reading, owning and working from.
