Would your paper craft projects benefit from incorporating a set of related floral and botanical –themed images that you can repeat and reuse as often as you need to?

If so, there’s an adorable stamp set that you really need to know about. It’s called the Spendid stamp set. It’s from the Splendid Collection by Paige Taylor Evans for American Crafts.

Sentiments Included in the Spendid Stamp Set by Paige Taylor Evans

The Spendid stamp set includes three sentiments:

  • Handmade
  • For You
  • With Love
  • Thank You

These sentiments are particularly well-suited for use in scrapbooking and card making projects; they’re sentiments that any crafter is likely to get LOTS of use from.

Types of Paper Craft Projects You Can Make Using the Spendid Stamp Set

In my opinion, Paige Evans’ Spendid stamp set works especially well for scrapbooking and card making. However, you could use it for working on any type of paper craft projects, including the following:

  • Calendar crafts, planners, and bullet journals;
  • Travel journals, art journals and junk journals;
  • Handmade gift tags and gifts;
  • Collages, wall art and mixed media art projects;
  • And more!

I’ve been paper crafting for a long time, and I’ve accumulated a bunch of different stamp sets. At this point, I have a broad variety of different images. Most of my stamping needs are well covered, so at this point in my crafting journey, I am highly selective about the stamps I add to my collection.

This set was a must-have for me because I knew I would use these sentiments constantly, and because I love the floral, botanical and lace doily images in the set. Furthermore, I love Paige Evans’ vivid style and love using her adorable art motifs in my craft projects.

I bought this stamp set with my own money and have been satisfied with the purchase; I think these stamps are a good value for the money you’ll spend on them.

Craft Project Ideas for Using the Spendid Stamp Set by Paige Taylor Evans for American Crafts:

There are many ways you can use Paige Evans’ versatile Spendid stamp set in your paper craft projects and other projects. These stamps are truly versatile. So far, I’ve used them to make cards and scrapbooking layouts. I haven’t yet photographed and posted the projects I’ve made with these stamps, so I will have to update this page again after I get around to sharing my projects.

Downsides to the Spendid Stamp Set by American Crafts

I don’t actually think there are any cons to this stamp set; for me, the set has been all positive. But, a single stamp set cannot be all things to all people — and this one certainly is not.

If you don’t buy stamp sets without coordinating dies, this stamp set isn’t going to be what you want. As far as I know, there are not coordinating dies available to cut out these images. However, I have been fussy cutting them out with both ordinary scissors (sometimes) and with decorative scissors (sometimes), and either way, my experience has been that they are very easy to cut out. The shapes are simple enough that you can cut these designs out with scissors. Yes, it does take some time to do this, but it is doable. There are sets that are so detailed that you really wouldn’t want to even attempt this, but this isn’t one of those.

If you’re looking for the highest possible quality photopolymer stamp set, this stamp set isn’t going to be what you want. These stamps are made of acrylic, a material which a lot of “stamp snobs” don’t prefer.

However, I have no complaints about the quality of these stamps. So far, my set has withstood a LOT of stamping.

On top of that, this set has also endured a few nights of below-freezing temperatures while packed in a moving truck, and more than a month of extreme heat while stored in a storage unit in the desert. They still stamp perfectly. I can’t promise that they’ll last forever, but they’re holding up well under the circumstances!

The Verdict: I Highly Recommend the Spendid Clear Stamp Set to Other Crafters!

Overall, I have found all the stamps in this set to be really helpful for a variety of uses, particularly for scrapbooking and card making. I highly recommend this set to other crafters who want to add cute, feminine hand-stamped details to their mixed media art and paper craft projects.

Other Craft Supplies You Will Need for Stamping With Paige Evans’ Splendid Stamp Set

To use this stamp set as intended, you’ll need some additional craft supplies beyond just the stamps themselves. The following supplies are all sold separately from the stamp set.

You’ll need one or more ink pads to use for inking up the images to stamp.

You’ll also need a surface like paper to stamp on. If you aren’t sure which paper to use, check out Neenah’s 110-lb cover stock in the Solar White color as one possibility to consider.

You might, or might not, also want to use something to color in the stamped images.

In my opinion, one of the best things about this stamp set is that you really don’t need to color in any of these images.

Don’t get me wrong; I LOVE coloring. But, I have a life outside of making paper craft projects, and coloring just isn’t a high priority for me right now. So I tend to look for silhouette stamps and stamps that can be stamped without coloring.

These images work super well for stamping onto light-colored cardstock, and they are pretty on their own, without any coloring at all.

Of course, if you’re skilled at coloring, you can greatly enhance them and make them look even prettier by coloring them with the coloring media of your choice.

If you decide you do want to color these images, you have many options for coloring media you could use:
