The lovely folks over at Pinkfresh Studio are hosting a challenge with the theme of “beautiful backgrounds”. They don’t care how we create our backgrounds as long as something lovely is in the background. For the card you see pictured here, I chose a background of patterned paper featuring flowers arranged in simple but beautiful vases. On top of that I layered a scalloped heart design — and on top of that I layered a hand-stamped, hand-colored floral image that I stamped using stamps from the “Brighter Days” stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio.
Supplies Needed to Make This DIY Greeting Card With Pink Vases and a Flower Design
- “Brighter Days” Stamp Set by Pinkfresh Studio
- “Take Pride” Stamp Set by Pinkfresh Studio (for the sentiment stamp, which says “You Amaze Me”.)
- Patterned Paper From the Celebrate Collection, Which Was a Collaboration Between Pinkfresh Studio + Altenew
- Coral Pink Alcohol Markers: Spectrum Noir Coral Tri-Blend Marker
- To create the green leaves, I used a yellow cardstock that was inked with Gina K Designs Jelly Bean Green ink.
- Scalloped Decorative Scissors by EK Success
- Pink Sakura Gelly Roll Pen
I had a hard time photographing this; the photo I took doesn’t really do a good job of showing off the shimmery metallic scalloped edge of the heart. It’s a lot prettier in person.
Thanks for dropping by and checking out my latest craft project! I appreciate your interest.
