Love You Slimline Card With Butterfly, Heart and Ink Blended Stripes

Love You Slimline Card With Butterfly, Heart and Ink Blended Stripes

The lovely folks over at Pinkfresh Studio are having a new challenge with the theme of stripes and gradients. I thought that sounded like fun, so I decided to play along. I created multiple projects and love all of them! Plus I made extra ink-blended papers featuring stripes and gradients, so I will be able to use the rest of them in upcoming projects. I am looking forward to it!

In the picture above, you can see one of the cards I made for this challenge.

And here in the picture below, you can see some of the papers I made to use in this challenge.

I used 3 colors of Pinkfresh Studio’s dye ink to make these papers:

In the finished papers, the colors look lighter than they appear when used at full strength, because I diluted them with water. I was aiming for a light, watercolor-y effect. Even with the dilution, they turned out a bit darker than I was hoping, but the colors are so vibrant and pretty that I ended up loving them.

Daily Planner Layout With a Laundry Theme; Supplies by Lawn Fawn and the Happy Planner

The lovely people over at the Lawnfawnatics blog are hosting a fun rainbow themed challenge! Pictured above, you can see my entry for the challenge; it’s a daily planner layout featuring a cute little bear doing her laundry. I dated it 9-20-2022 and plan to use it in a couple of days.

Craft Supplies You’ll Need to Create a Similar Laundry Themed Daily Planner Layout:

(Or feel free to make substitutions if you like!)

Important Note: There are dies available for most of these stamps.

I love how colorful this is! The rainbow is one of my favorite design motifs, so I LOVED this challenge! Although unfortunately, I took the photo outdoors at sunset, so the colors in my pic don’t look accurate — it is much prettier in person.

My heartfelt thanks to the folks at Lawnfawnatics for hosting this fun challenge, which I really enjoyed!

Over to You:

Did you play along with the Lawnfawnatics challenge this time around? IF so, how did your project turn out?

Hope you have a fantastic week! Thanks so much for your interest in my project.

Floral Slimline Card for the August 2022 Inspiration Challenge at Altenew — Stamps and Inks by Altenew. Card Design Is by Amy Solovay.

The lovely people over at Altenew typically host an Inspiration Challenge each month. I entered the challenge in August 2022, and you can see the challenge image posted below. Looking at that image, you can see the colors that challenge participants were invited to use:

Isn’t this color combination just spectacular? I LOVE IT! I was super inspired to make projects using these colors, but it has been so rainy and dreary here on our little mountaintop that I was only able to get photos of one of the projects I made. It’s a slimline card featuring florals from Altenew’s Simple Flowers Add-On stamp set.

I also used Altenew inks to stamp the flowers and the greenery; I used Frosty Pink, Coral Berry and Ruby Red to stamp the flower petals and Frayed Leaf paired with Forest Glades to stamp the leaves and stems.

I fussy-cut the botanical elements using Fiskars Paper Edgers in the Mini Scallop design.

The “Thank You” sentiment is from an older Altenew stamp set called “Painted Rose” that is no longer available for sale. I stamped the “thank” in Walnut Stain Distress ink and the “You” using Altenew’s Coral Berry Crisp Dye Ink. I stamped both of these words together onto cardstock that I lightly inked with Rose Gold Delicata ink; then I traced around it using a circle stencil; then I fussy-cut it out using scalloped decorative scissors by EK Success. I colored in the scalloped edge of the circle using a brown brush marker.

DIY Greeting Card With Pink Vases and a Flower Design

Handmade Slimline Greeting Card Featuring Vases of Flowers. Stamps and Supplies Are by Pinkfresh Studio.

Handmade Slimline Greeting Card Featuring Vases of Flowers. Stamps and Supplies Are by Pinkfresh Studio.

The lovely folks over at Pinkfresh Studio are hosting a challenge with the theme of “beautiful backgrounds”. They don’t care how we create our backgrounds as long as something lovely is in the background. For the card you see pictured here, I chose a background of patterned paper featuring flowers arranged in simple but beautiful vases. On top of that I layered a scalloped heart design — and on top of that I layered a hand-stamped, hand-colored floral image that I stamped using stamps from the “Brighter Days” stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio.

I had a hard time photographing this; the photo I took doesn’t really do a good job of showing off the shimmery metallic scalloped edge of the heart. It’s a lot prettier in person.

Thanks for dropping by and checking out my latest craft project! I appreciate your interest.
