For me, these versatile stamp images were a large part of this set’s appeal. But I do appreciate the stamps in this set that can be used in every type of project beyond just travel-themed projects. This is one of the reasons I chose to buy this stamp set instead of some of the others I could have bought instead. (Yes, I bought these stamps with my own money. This is a real product review written by a real person, NOT a robot. Furthermore, this is not a sponsored post.

How I’ve Been Using Each of These Stamps in My Paper Craft Projects, and My Opinion About Each Image

I use these label stamps constantly in all kinds of projects.

The “Explorer” Stamp

I’ve used this stamp, and I like it, but I haven’t used it as much as I thought I would.

This stamp is BIG, and I mostly do small projects. So this just doesn’t fit onto my pages as well as I had hoped it would.

If I were still making 12″x12″ scrapbooking layouts, I would get a lot more use out of this — but these days, I am scrapping 6″x8″. When you scrap 6×8, you’re mostly putting the bare essentials on each page, and I’m finding that this stamp isn’t one of those bare essentials. I use all the smaller sentiment stamps in this set far more frequently than I use the “Explorer” sentiment.

A Large Jet Airplane Stamp

One of the most prominent images in the set is the large airplane stamp. I don’t actually use this at all; I haven’t used it once, ever.

That’s because I don’t typically travel via airplane; I prefer to sail. I’ve actually sailed halfway around the world.

I’ve taken airplane trips, too, but flying isn’t really my jam. Sailing is my jam. So an airplane image isn’t what I want to use on the vast majority of of my travel-themed paper craft projects.

But your mileage may vary. Perhaps you’re a jet setter, and if that’s the case, this set and this stamp are going to be exactly what you want.

If I were a jet setter, I might use this. I like it. I just haven’t had a need for it, personally.

A Stamp that says “let’s go!”

“Let’s Go!” is pretty much my motto in life. I use this stamp frequently. Love it! I wouldn’t want to be without it.

2 Small Heart Symbol Stamps

I use both of these stamps frequently. Love them! I wouldn’t want to be without them.

2 small star Symbol

I use these little star stamps occasionally.

A small location indicator symbol

I use this location indicator stamp frequently on all kinds of projects: scrapbooking pages, planner layouts, junk journal pages, you name it.

A bouquet of roses / flowers

I don’t personally like this image. In my opinion, it is poorly drawn and a little bit ugly. I have much prettier flower stamps than this one, so I am not really inclined to use this one.

A camera

I think this camera image is okay. I’ve used it a few times.

For some reason, lots of the stamp sets I buy have camera images in them. I don’t need camera images all that frequently, but I occasionally use them. So, sometimes I use this, and sometimes I use the other camera stamps I own. I didn’t buy this stamp set for this image, and I could live without it, but I do like it and use it sometimes.

A Compass Rose Stamp

Many travel stamp sets include at least one compass rose stamp. Since I own many sets of travel stamps, I also own many compass roses. This is one of my favorites. I use this one heavily. You’ll find it on many of my scrapbooking pages and junk journals. It is the perfect size for the projects I make.

4 small sentiments: “love this”, “destination”, “favorite”, and “adventure”

I use all 4 of these small sentiments often. They get a workout!

If they have one downside, it’s that I have a hard time keeping track of them. They are really small and prone to easily getting lost.

I think they are the perfect size for my needs, but if you scrap 12″x12″, you are probably going to think these are too small. If you scrap 6″x8″, definitely consider these as a possibility for your travel and vacation-themed scrapbooking projects.

The Quality of This Stamp Set

Please be aware that this is an acrylic stamp set, NOT a photopolymer stamp set.

Acrylic is typically cheaper than photopolymer, and it also tends to be of lower quality.

So, if you want to spend your money on the highest possible quality stamp sets, you should be aware that this isn’t it. In that case, you should really look elsewhere.

That said, I think the quality of these stamps is good enough to justify buying and using them. I haven’t yet had a problem with these stamps, and I’ve subjected them to a lot of abuse:

• They’ve spent several nights in below-freezing conditions when they were being transported in a moving van.
• They’ve spent time in hot, 100+ degree desert conditions, sometimes boxed up in a storage unit, and sometimes riding around in an RV that isn’t temperature-controlled.
• I’ve used them a LOT.

I was amazed that they’re still usable after being subjected to those temperature extremes, but they are.

So I’ll be the last person to complain about their quality, personally. If they stop working later today, I won’t whine about it, because I’ve already got more than my money’s worth out of them.

But there are “stamp snobs” out there who insist on only buying high-quality photopolymer stamps. If that’s you, you shouldn’t buy these stamps. They’re not what you want, if you’re a “stamp snob”.

The Verdict: I Highly Recommend Maggie Holmes’ Round Trip Clear Stamp Set to Other Crafters

Overall, I think the Round Trip clear stamp set is a fantastic bargain for the money you’ll spend on it.

As I mentioned above, I don’t love all of these stamps; I think some of them aren’t that useful, and one of them is just plain ugly. That said, I think many of the stamps in this set are hugely useful. I frequently use most of the clear stamps from this clear stamp set, and I highly recommend them. I wouldn’t want to be without them. I’ve made some of my favorite projects with these stamps. I think you’re likely to love them, too.
