I bought a bunch of the items from the Simple Stories Coastal collection to use for documenting a trip my husband and I took to Hawaii in May of 2003. Here you can see a photo of a tropical Hawaiian palm tree I photographed while we were there, along with some palm-tree themed scrapbooking embellishments and other embellishments from the Coastal Collection.
I didn’t do any stamping on this layout, but I did ink around the edges of all the pocket cards to make them stand out from each other.
The pineapple embellishment was stenciled on white cardstock using the stencil that coordinates with this collection and fussy cut using my favorite new Tim Holtz scissors. I used a die from the Lacey Edgers set by Pinkfresh Studio to create the border at the lower edge of the page.
