My husband, Mike, and I lived aboard sailboats for about 5 years.

As liveaboard cruising sailors, one of our greatest challenges was locating and acquiring sufficient quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables.

(Because there are no farmer’s markets in the middle of the ocean, and as far as I know, UPS still doesn’t have the capability to deliver to GPS coordinates. They still insist on having a physical address.)

At one point, we discovered a service — Papas Organics — that was willing to deliver to addresses in Catalina Island.

Word got around, and at one point, bunches of boaters and Catalina Islanders were ordering from them. Unfortunately, that didn’t last long, but we have fond memories of getting those fresh fruit and vegetable deliveries while they were available.

Got pics of fresh fruits and veggies, or any travel-themed photos you’d like to scrap? If you’d like to make a scrapbooking page similar to this one, you’ll need adhesive, white cardstock, patterned paper and a few other assorted supplies: pens or markers for journaling; and stamps or dies to stamp your page title and the date.
